A thorough market map was required to identify where to find transferable talent, the challenge being that we needed a broad eCommerce skill-set, an entrepreneurial mind-set, but yet somebody who could operate in a lean structure that was limiting in terms of strategic ownership due to the global business model – these things being quite contradicting meant we had to cover a lot of ground to eliminate the candidates who’s career motivations were not aligned.
We built in specific competency interview questions and psychometric testing to our screening process to narrow down our long-list, as well as a targeted outreach to find the ideal hire
We were able to meet the criteria of our clients search fully, finding an individual who could flourish in their unique set up long-term from a key competitor
The next tier of hires under this person has since been appointed by us, which covers the functions of both digital design and marketing
